It is with great pride and excitement that I return for my second year as principal of Corona Fundamental Intermediate School. As your principal, my goal remains the same: to ensure that everyone who steps through our doors—teachers, students, and parents—feels motivated, valued, and connected. This shared enthusiasm is key to overcoming challenges and achieving academic excellence in a positive, fun, and supportive environment.
At CFIS, we uphold traditional values, maintain high expectations, and celebrate our students’ success. We provide a rigorous, standards-based education, a safe and nurturing learning environment, and a focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. Our students are prepared to become responsible, respectful, and contributing members of society.
The Falcon, the fastest animal in the world, dives at speeds of over 180 miles per hour. Like the Falcon, our students strive for success at exceptional speeds. They are some of the most accomplished learners in the Corona-Norco Unified School District, demonstrating perseverance and a commitment to excellence every day.
Beyond academics, CFIS offers an abundance of programs, clubs, and co-curricular activities that foster a strong connection to our campus. As a new student, I encourage you to get involved and find a community that interests you. You will find a dedicated team of teachers, staff, counselors, and administrators all working to support your success.
The intermediate school years are critical in shaping your child’s future, and we are honored to partner with you during this exciting time. We invite you to stay involved and keep the lines of communication open. Parent participation is highly encouraged, and Parent Connect is regularly updated with important information on your child's progress. We also have a Community Liaison available to assist you and provide helpful resources. If you're interested in becoming more involved, please consider joining our PTA, IB Boosters, or School Site Council, and attend school events and informational nights.
Our highly qualified staff is committed to the success of every CFIS student, and we work together to provide the individual attention necessary for students to thrive in middle school. Open communication is vital to your child’s success, and I encourage you to reach out to teachers via email or phone if you have any questions or concerns. Our teachers are the best resource to address most needs, and we are here to support you.
