California Junior Scholarship Federation is an academic based club with an emphasis on giving to the community.
- To qualify for CJSF membership this trimester, you must have earned a minimum of 8 points.
- No points will be awarded for PE, Exploratory or Academic Support, but a grade of D or F or an N or U in behavior in any class will disqualify you from joining.
- CJSF points are as follows:
A = 3 points B = 1 point (IB, Accelerated Math, Pre-AP classes earns 2 points)
C = 0 points Below C Not eligible for CJSF
Note: Plusses and minuses will not be used for calculation, therefore a B- is still a B, a C+ is still a C and so forth.
- Remember, semester membership is based on work done in the previous semester. You must reapply EACH semester.
- To become an honor member you will need to complete 10 community service hours sometime during the year you are a member.
(Be sure to write down all community service that you do, from now until the end of high school. You will need to put that information down on college applications.)

There is no fee to become a member, but donations are always welcome.
Membership Privileges
- Members of the club will be able to go to lunch 5 minutes early on Wednesdays.
- Members will get special events throughout the year.
- Members are encouraged to complete community service, and officers will create community service opportunities.
- Members who are active members for 4 semesters during their 7th and 8th grade years and complete their community service hours each year, will earn a medallion at the 8th grade awards ceremony. They are to wear the medallion during the 8th grade promotion ceremony.
- CJSF looks very good on college applications.
- Also be sure to keep record of all community service for college applications that will be sent out during the students senior (12th grade) year.
