At CFIS, Falcons dress for success! Your clothing should be clean, neat, and
school-appropriate so you’re ready to learn and feel confident. Here's what you need to know:
Dress for Success – What’s OK:
● Clothes that fit well—not too tight or baggy
● Shirts that cover your stomach, chest, shoulders and back
● Shirts are to be tucked in at all times
● Shorts, skirts, and dresses must reach your fingertips when arms are at your side
● Pants must fit at the waist without a belt
● Hair in natural colors (subtle highlights are okay)
● Closed-toed, full back shoes with hard soles (no crocs, slippers, sandals, clogs or flip-flops)
● Belts are recommended but not required
● Lanyards with school ID must be worn at all times
Not Allowed at School:
● Clothing that shows undergarments
● See-through or tight clothing, crop tops, tank tops, halter tops, strapless, backless, or shirts that show the midriff
● Clothing which has been altered (torn, distressed, frayed or slit)
● Sweats, athletic pants/shorts, pajamas, leggings, yoga pants, joggers, biker shorts, or unhemmed cut-offs
● Clothing or accessories with images or language that depict:
○ Violence, gangs, drugs, alcohol, weapons, or hate (or any illegal item or activity)
○ Offensive or inappropriate language or pictures
● Brightly dyed hair (blue, red, pink, green, etc.) or extreme hairstyles (Mohawks, spikes, shaved designs)
● Hats, caps, hairnets, bandanas, hoods, beanies/stocking caps
● Sunglasses (unless prescription)
● Jewelry with spikes, studs, or body piercings (ears or side of nose piercing allowed)
Keep in Mind:
● Use good judgment when choosing your outfit
● If your clothes are distracting or against the dress code, you will be asked to change
● CFIS administration makes the final decision on what’s appropriate
Let’s keep CFIS a respectful and distraction-free place to learn—Falcons rise by lifting each other up, and that includes dressing for success! Please see the CFIS student/parent handbook for a more detailed description of the dress code.
